2 days life as a model After everything, I'm so freaking TIRED, being a model isn't that easy.. I don't even remember how many times i swear in my mind..dehydration , starvation , wanna pee also susah. For those who didn't know, me & Jo went for this hair modeling thing for Raymond Choi from HK. I heard he charge thousands for a haircut..dunno true or not & he styles celebs too, like Jay Chou, Andy Lau , Celine Dion & even presidents.  Raymond ChoiWith a career spanning over 30 years in the hairdressing industry, Hong Kong born Raymond is an expert in the art of hair colouring and a veteran consultant for international recognized labels for Max Factor (Asia), a Hair Artistic Director for Italian Group (Brescia, Italy), an International Technician Consultant for Eugene Perma (Paris) and Honourable Consultant and Strategy Consultant for the largest hairdressing chain in Taiwan. . Day 1 - The 1st hair transformation I think i slept at 2 am...super nervous .Woke up at 5.50 am , got ready for everything , went to school to hand in the absent letters & went to the salon at KB. At 9.30 am,we were all off to Miri , 6 models & hair stylists. We arrived at Louis Hair Salon , where there were also other models from Miri. ..   LOLProcess 1 - 'White Chocolate Blondie' They wrapped our lower hair with foils then BLEACH the top part ... GOD , it was damn heavy, i think there were like 100s of foils on my head..my neck almost broke. While waiting for the bleach chemical to 'get in' to my hair , i was stunned... cuz the bleached hair looked TOTALLY WHITE, i was saying ' GOD GOD GOD' in my heart. It took hours for the bleaching process, everyone looked damn gloomy ( imagine there's a bowling bowl put on op of your head)  heavy -__________-Btw, this hair stylist who bleached my hair is a backstabber . She was gossiping to another stylist about our (Bruneian) hair in Cantonese..in a very rude way,'' All those Brunei models hair are the same ..look at that one at the back, if i was her ( one of my model mate), i would cry'' !@%%!#@@ U thought Bruneians dont know Cantonese huh?? sorry woman , i know 5 languages ,mind u .. The reason she said this because - all the Miri models have rebonded hair? which they wont have much work to do, while our hair are curls , thick etc. After hours of long waiting, they finally washed off the chemical.. 1st look in the mirror.. GOD WTH .. i look like a TRANNY, super blonde on the top part!!! Jo was laughing at me , wait & see Jo, urs will be the same..as she haven't wash hers off.  tranny alertProcess 2 - 'Dying ' Naga Jolokia Pepper Uncountable swear words in my mind!! @$#W$%@^# PAIN , PAIN , BURNING PAIN...my scalps were damaged..In this process , everyone almost cried FYI- never wash your hair the day before before dyeing or bleaching, your scalp will be too dry thus damaging it. Mine - silver blue , gold , black Jo's - pink , purple , black Jean's - light blue , water blue , black Sharon's - grey blue, black xxx 1's - yellow brown ( supposed to be orange), black xxx 2's - red , black Process 3 - The cut When the 1st Miri model had her cut, i really wanna cry that moment, me & Jo went flabbergasted ..because her hair was cut like those guy's hair, shaved till the neck... but then CHEYYYY , thats just the lower part , the top part will be long.. ''Can i cut ur hair?'' ....----''Not too short & no bob pls!!'' *Snaps..I'm bob headed but i pleaded for no bob fringe ..so tat's better. So, the lower part is a bob cut but the top part is long. Jo got some cut in front because she's not willing to cut short & one of this Malay girl (our mate) got a super bowl bob cut which i will cry & lock myself up in the room if i was the one who got that cut. So that's the end of Day 1 , slept at about 1 am. Day 2 - The Big Day 6 am , rise & shine , got ready , went breakfast with Jo then reach the salon at 9 am. 1--- The make up My make up assistant was Alan.. GOD ... !@$#$%#@%^%@$% PAIN !! UR SHAVING SKILL SUCKS MAN ! My eyebrows were shaved into like those ppl who need eyebrow tattoos!! !i would rather have them plucked @#% & now there's like tiny hair sticking out..so ugly. He used lip liner for my nude lips. Hey, dont you watch E!'s fashion do & donts?? I KNOW where my lips are , you dont have to highlight them for me! I rubbed them off of course.  O.O O.O x 2 We have this heavy make up on the eyes..mine is blue & he applied too much blusher ---on the checks & on my nose ..i really look like a baboon ..but Alan is nice actually & friendly 2--- Hair styling Raymond's assistant Ray came to style for us.My hair's like... bob under then long top parts were curled & pinned on top , followed by a blonde ponytail wig attached on top.Jo' s like the hair flown horizontally after riding the motorbike without wearing a helmet , hahaha. Everyone's hair looked super unique     3--- BIG TROUBLE Mr. Raymond called from the Miri /Brunei Immigration department , saying the ppl don't allow him to enter Brunei cuz he didnt apply visa for Brunei ......... there's a big pandemonium at the salon ..calling here & there.. it was really a big problem cuz around 100 of ppl are going to attend the seminar show ....In the end, his assistant, Ray substituted him (he's good too)  4--- Off we go Jo drove to Bandar herself with me, followed by 2 make up assistance . Very attention grabbing .. 2 gals with heavy make up & fancy bright hair... other drivers were looking at us. There was this traffic jam at Sg. Liang area & this driver beside us gave us the weird look .. & i laughed. 5 --- The moment arrives 7th floor, Centrepoint Hotel , Gadong... Time is running out... Our clothes are from a big black cloth, cut & pinned to form a dress except Jo's who was wearing a black tube & jeans. This was bcuz the tubes were at Mr. Raymond's ... u know & Jo brought hers.  Learn to be shirtless & pantless in front of other models & stylists... Final touches on hair & make ups . Learn walks & poses & given briefing on the walkway directions. I'm trembling.. SO NERVOUS ! I'm the 3rd ..lucky not the 1st to go out. It was divided into 3 times every model's gonna walk out. 1. The individual walk 2. Individual hair presentation 3. Group hair styling  8 months pregnant1. The individual walk My legs were shaking, my hands were shaking, i cant even balance myself standing . My heart almost exploded ... so was the 1st model , she's completely speechless. ...........my turn, walked out the door, walked till the end , posed for 3 secs, then walked back to the middle , posed for 3 secs , then walked up the stage & posed with others....  Then, all the models went back to the room, given 15 mins to take off their hairstyle & make it straight. Models were helping models to take off the pins, wigs ...hairstylists straightening them...  2. Individual hair presentation    Jo the pinkie & RayJo was the 2nd model, & i pitied her, she stand for so long outside!! In this part, a model walks out to the stage, the stylist - Ray explains bout the colouring.. the guest ask questions & then the models walk down the pathway where guests sit, let them take pics, touch your &turn either to the right/left the room & back to the stage. I was instructed to walk to the left side , & so as i walked to the middle of the room , theres like loads of hands touching your hand, taking pictures & then when i wanna turn left , this woman stopped me for pictures.. AND just when i reach the left side.. @%$@% ITS A DEAD END EH! I was trapped in the corner & those ppl were like pulling your hair & taking shots. Then i use the right side & i stumbled upon this Filipino who ask me to turn 360 degrees for different angle shots...  Ano?? break~ cold cold cold ... the model mates When nervousness fades & boredom srikes...   3. Group hair styling All 6 models were on stage, & Ray's gonna choose some to have their hair cut in front of the audience. First , Sharon , whose shoulder length hair was cut into a chic bob in few mins, then the bowl cut model, the Jo, with a few snips at the side & lastly, ME. I'm 90% bob, leaving a small part of long hair on the side. It looked good tat day as my hair was straighten & looked quite hideous now, with all the colors that make me looked old. My feet hurts a lot, wearing heels tats not my size..... I'm so lazy to post now.....lastly i arrive at home at 1.30am. END Ps- Tis is a great experience for me ,i've learnt things u cant never learn in school... & no regrets  love the time of the show |
