looking up Today is officially the last day of our Yr 1. *pops champagne* I will be drowning myself with books I borrowed from the school library for a few days.  The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (original title in Swedish: "Män som hatar kvinnor" - "Men Who Hate Women") is an award-winning crime novel by the late Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson, the first in his "Millennium Trilogy". A sensation across Europe—millions of copies sold Borrowed this yesterday. Read like one chapter. Sorry but I cant capture it. Guess its not my kind of book.  In "Women of the Silk" Gail Tsukiyama takes her readers back to rural China in 1926, where a group of women forge a sisterhood amidst the reeling machines that reverberate and clamor in a vast silk factory from dawn to dusk. Leading the first strike the village has ever seen, the young women use the strength of their ambition, dreams, and friendship to achieve the freedom they could never have hoped for on their own. Tsukiyama's graceful prose weaves the details of "the silk work" and Chinese village life into a story of courage and strength Borrowed this quite some time ago. I did enjoy the read, the storyline and characters were beautifully written. Easy to let your mind flow into it. A book that will make me favourite the author. Found other copies of her work in the library - The Street of a thousand blossoms and Dreaming Water. The last one 's Sophie and the rising sun by Augusta Trobaugh.  3 books to be read and returned before I go back to Brunei. # For some reasons, I prefer buying my books than borrowing ( unless they look new and clean) or else I'll be really disgusted by old yellowy books, like something I cant read on bed. Good old books that cant be bought, no choice - library. Still worrying about my air ticket. They just cant shut their mouth.
